privacy

souq is intentionally small: no accounts, no profiles, no marketing email, and no written reviews. That does not mean no personal data exists; order delivery and support require limited data.

Categories of personal information

• Stripe collects checkout details and payment information, and may provide souq with payment status, receipt email, amount, currency, and transaction identifiers.
• souq stores the order email, product, amount, download token, expiry, download count, and related delivery status.
• Voting uses a browser token and hashed vote record so the site can remember vote state and protect rating integrity. This is not a promise that activity is impossible to relate across logs or abuse controls.
• Download tokens are bearer links. Anyone with a valid link may be able to download until the time or download limit is reached.
• Support messages include the name, email, and message you send to support@souq.gg, plus request metadata used for spam and security controls.
• Server logs may contain IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps, download attempts, success/failure events, and similar metadata for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and operational reliability.

Sources of personal information

Information comes from you when you check out, claim a free file, request a re-send, vote, or contact support; from your browser or device when requests reach the site; from Stripe when checkout status is returned; and from service providers that operate hosting, storage, email delivery, database, logs, and backups.

Business purposes

The order email is used for delivery, buyer-requested link re-sends, support, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, and basic accounting. It is not added to a newsletter, drip campaign, or ad audience.

local storage

The browser may store the theme choice, a random voter id, and local vote state so the row controls stay consistent. Votes are not tied to public profiles. Local storage is not used for cross-site advertising.

providers

souq uses infrastructure providers for hosting, database, private file storage, Stripe checkout, backups, and transactional email delivery. Those providers may process order records, download events, tokens, support submissions, and request metadata as needed to provide their services. Delivery emails contain no tracking pixel, but email delivery is not private end-to-end and can be affected by spam filters or provider issues.

Disclosures to service providers

souq may disclose limited personal information to service providers for payment processing, fraud checks, hosting, storage, database operations, transactional email, backups, logging, security, debugging, and support. souq does not disclose order emails to a marketing list.

Security

souq uses reasonable safeguards for the current app, including private file storage and time-limited download links. No website, email system, browser storage, or internet transmission is perfectly secure.

retention

Order records may be kept for fulfillment, support, accounting, fraud prevention, chargebacks, tax, security, and legal needs. Support emails are kept as needed to resolve the request and maintain operational records. Log retention may vary by provider and operational need.

sensitive information

Do not send passwords, card numbers, API keys, secrets, or regulated data through the support form. Use Stripe for payment details.

Your privacy choices

No sale of personal information is part of the current app. For privacy questions or deletion/access requests, emailsupport@souq.gg. Some records may need to be retained where required or allowed for accounting, dispute, fraud, security, or legal reasons.

• Right to know: you may ask what order/support information is associated with your email.
• Right to delete: you may ask souq to delete information that is no longer needed for delivery, security, accounting, dispute, fraud, or legal reasons.
• Right to correct: you may ask souq to correct inaccurate support or order-contact information where practical.

Children

souq is not intended for children or minors. Do not use the site if you are under 18 or under the age of majority where you live.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The version posted here applies when you use the site after it is posted.
