This Download Policy explains how digital deliveries work on SOUQ.GG — what you receive, how files are delivered, how long links last, what you can do with files you obtain, and how to get help if something is wrong. It supplements the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy.

1. How downloads are delivered

#

When you obtain a digital product, SOUQ.GG records the grant in your library and provides access through one or more of:

  • A signed URL to our object-storage provider (Cloudflare R2), generated on demand.
  • A direct download from your library page.
  • A link to a third-party host explicitly designated by the Seller.
  • An in-app viewer for previewable formats (such as PDF, text, code, or images).
  • An access link to a Seller-managed external service (only if the Listing says so).

Free products are granted immediately upon claim; paid products are granted after the Processor confirms the payment (typically within seconds, occasionally up to a few minutes for bank methods).

3. File integrity & antivirus

#

Files uploaded by Sellers are scanned by automated antivirus and malware tools at upload time and at delivery time. Where a file’s integrity is critical, the Seller may publish a SHA-256 hash on the Listing; you can verify the file after download by recomputing the hash locally and comparing it.

We will block delivery of files flagged as malicious. False positives are reviewed manually within 1 business day. If you believe a clean file is being incorrectly flagged, contact support@souq.gg.

4. Version history & updates

#

Sellers may publish new versions of a Product over time. Your library shows the latest version available and (where the Seller has enabled it) a version history with changelogs. Past major versions may remain available to you for download for compatibility reasons.

We send a notification email when a Seller publishes a major update to a Product you own. You can disable update notifications per Product in your library.

5. License scope

Unless a different license is clearly disclosed in the Listing, downloading a Product grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license for your own internal or personal use. You may not resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the Product to third parties.

If a Seller offers a different license (for example, team, OEM, or commercial-resale), the terms shown on the Listing apply in addition to this Policy. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the Listing’s license terms.

6. Sharing and redistribution

  • Do not upload purchased files to public repositories, file-sharing sites, or piracy networks.
  • Do not share your account credentials or share signed download URLs with others.
  • Within a team, only the seats covered by the license may use the Product; expand seats by purchasing additional licenses where offered.
  • Quoting small excerpts for reviews or commentary is permitted under applicable fair-use principles.
  • You may not use the Product’s contents to train a machine-learning model that competes with the Product, unless the Seller explicitly permits this in the license.

7. Limits and fair use

We may apply soft limits to protect the Service against abuse, including:

  • Reasonable concurrent download caps (typically 5 concurrent per Product).
  • Reasonable bandwidth ceilings on automated/API-driven download flows.
  • Throttling of signed-URL generation when it exceeds normal human use.

Legitimate users will rarely encounter these limits. We may revoke access to any download that appears to be obtained or used in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

8. Storage region, CDN, and geo-restrictions

Files are stored in Cloudflare R2; the default region is EU. Delivery occurs from the closest Cloudflare edge to minimize latency. Storage region affects where files reside at rest; delivery occurs globally except where restricted.

Sellers may apply geo-restrictions to a Listing (for example, jurisdictional licensing constraints). If a geo-restriction applies, the Listing will indicate it; access from restricted regions will be blocked.

9. Sanctions and export controls

We will not deliver Products to sanctioned destinations or persons, or where doing so would violate applicable export-control law. Orders flagged for sanctions review may be paused while we verify eligibility; refunds are issued where appropriate.

10. License keys and activation

#

Some Products use license keys, activation servers, or hardware fingerprints. When applicable:

  • The Listing will state the activation mechanism and any seat or device count.
  • Keys are visible only to the Buyer who placed the Order, in their library.
  • Lost or compromised keys should be reported to support@souq.gg.
  • Sellers can reset activation counts in cases of legitimate device migration or theft.

11. Failed or broken downloads

If a download is corrupt, missing, fails to start, or the file does not match its listed format, contact support@souq.gg with your order ID and a brief description. We will work with the Seller to deliver a working file or, where appropriate, refund the purchase per the Refund Policy.

12. Deprecation, sunset, and notice

#

A Product may be deprecated by the Seller (no longer receiving updates) or withdrawn entirely (removed from sale). When a Product is withdrawn, we make reasonable efforts to:

  • Keep the file accessible to existing Buyers for at least 30 days from the withdrawal date.
  • Display a clear status banner in your library next to the affected Product.
  • Offer to migrate you to a replacement Product where the Seller designates one.

For mission-critical use cases, keep a local copy of any Product you depend on.

13. File preservation & backups

#

We make reasonable efforts to keep purchased files available in your library indefinitely after purchase and run regular backups. We do not guarantee perpetual availability: a Product may be withdrawn due to a takedown, legal requirement, Seller departure, or business reason. In such cases we will, when possible, give advance notice and surface a download window before final removal.
